Sundance State Bank Announces Opening of Full-Service Branch in Spearfish

December 3, 2025

Sundance State Bank is proud to announce the official opening of its new full-service branch in Spearfish. The new branch will be situated on the southeast corner of The Village at Creekside, across from Sawyer Brewing, on Yukon Place. As a full-service branch, customers can take advantage of the complete range of banking services including deposits, safe deposit boxes, ATM, consumer/commercial/mortgage loans, and more.

“Over the years, we have had many customers driving to Sundance to work with us, which led us to open a Loan Production Office in Spearfish in 2014,” said Andy Miller, president of Sundance State Bank. “We are excited to be expanding our Spearfish location into a full-service branch. Spearfish has been a great fit for our style of banking, and we look forward to building even more relationships here.”

Sundance State Bank has been serving northeastern Wyoming and the Black Hills since 1895, when it first opened its doors in downtown Sundance, Wyoming. After 130 years, the bank remains locally owned, financially strong, and committed to meeting the financial needs of its customers with a community-focused approach.

Jerome Greger, vice president of Sundance State Bank, added: “With the new branch, we can better serve our current customers while also welcoming new ones into the Sundance State Bank family. We welcome you to come and check out our new branch and open an account today. We also invite everyone to join us for our official Ribbon Cutting and Open House on Wednesday, October 1st at 2:00 PM.”

At Sundance State Bank, the focus has always been on personalized service and strong relationships. All decisions are made locally by people who live, work, and volunteer in the same communities they serve.

That commitment extends beyond banking. In 2024 alone, Sundance State Bank staff contributed nearly 1,000 volunteer hours to more than 40 nonprofit organizations in Crook and Lawrence Counties. The Spearfish team is actively involved in Northern Hills Rotary, SD CEO West, High Plains Anglers, and serves on nonprofit boards including Artemis House, BHSU Alumni Association, Smiles on Faces, Spearfish Foundation for Public Education, and Queen City Songwriters.

The Sundance State Bank Spearfish Branch is located at 2530 Yukon Place in The Village at Creekside, neighboring Sawyer Brewing, Farmhouse Bistro, and Eye Love Spearfish.
